One way of celebrating the creator in you, is to find new and mystical ways to layer your adornments. The more piercings you have, the more possibilities there are. Whether you’re considering new piercing options or looking to experiment with what you already have, our piercing guide will help you unlock the endless ways to adorn your sacred skin.
Lobe
The lobe is the most classic of piercing positions. Sitting in the centre of the softest part of the ear. Lobe piercings are typically the quickest to heal and hold the most possibilities as all earring styles suit this piercing. We especially love to wear bigger statement earrings in the lobes, which can then mix and match with smaller daintier pieces as you travel to other positions up the ear.
Daith
A daith piercing is positioned on the innermost cartilage fold of the ear. This area of the cartilage is quite thick, so for ease of wear we find a daith piercing best adorned with smaller endless sleepers.
Rook
Similar to the Daith piercing but positioned just above the Daith in the upper ear. As with the Daith, Rook piercings are best suited to small sleepers so as not to have earring backs exposed.
Helix
A helix piercing typically sits on the outer upper ear. There are many positions of helix to choose from, and if you have multiple, the more creative you can get with them. Suited to small sleepers, studs and even our threaders, there are many ways to style a helix. We love to play with different scales, graduating to smaller daintier pieces the more you travel up the ear.
Tragus
A tragus piercing sits in the small section of cartilage, positioned just in front of the ear canal. Delicate studs and sleepers work best here, adding a dainty touch of sparkle to your ear styling.
Upper Lobe/ Mid Helix
Piercings sitting between a standard lobe and upper helix position are referred to as upper lobe or mid helix piercings. Again, playing with size and scale works really well along this area of the ear. We especially love experimenting with all of the different weaving techniques our threader earrings have to offer along these piercings.
Forward Helix
A forward helix sits around the front part of ear cartilage. Sitting above the tragus, this position works well with small hoops or studs and can be coordinated with your tragus adornments for heavenly balance.
Conch
The conch piercing is in the centre most part of the ear. As this position sits in from the edge of the ear and through a thicker area, we recommend studs for this piercing. Or you can always try large statement hoops if you are feeling adventurous!
With so many piercing positions the possibilities are truly endless when it comes to ear styling. We invite you to dive into our treasure trove of mystical jewels and find something special that inspires you to get creative and shine your inner light for the whole world to see.
