When designing this collection, architecture of ancient cities kept coming back to mind. Bold shapes were envisioned and moodboards featured the symbolic archways of Morocco. Striking elements softened by the intricacies of Moroccan mosaics; old streets turning through expansive doorways; narrow stairs leading to secret alcoves - we wanted our jewels to be bold, interesting and surprising, yet still feminine. Taking on architectural silhouettes, the coveted mandala and mehndi characteristics of Midsummer Star were incorporated to echo the hand-craftsmanship in carved furnitures and colourful mosaics.
As Winter and Spring was just around the corner, we wanted to harness the energy of regeneration by introducing some Onyx into our range. Black in colour, this gem is known as a powerful protection stone that’s thought to absorb negative energy and allow for emotional growth. Pastel backgrounds and lavender flowers offered polarity, evoking the memory of Moroccan sunsets whilst our muse, Claudia, balanced this by bringing a spirited and playful energy to the set.
This collection is vivid and surprising, bohemian and luxe, intricate and feminine. A blend of styles, sterling silver and Onyx reimagines the quintessential Midsummer Star style for unafraid wanderers and dreamers far and wide.
